On Sunday April 28th come join DJs SK and 84 at Lucha Tigre in Chapel Hill for a special edition of their monthly party Tacos & Turntables.  Typically taking place in Greensboro, the party sees it’s first travelling date in Chapel Hill as a closing party for UNC’s MUSC 286.  MUSC 286 is a course at UNC that crew members SK and A-Minor have been teaching alongside Dr. Mark Katz.  Focusing on the art and culture of the DJ, students have been immersed into the history and technique of the DJ from the beginning stages to current times.

Come join us as we wrap up the course for the semester and celebrate a successful semester. No cover, drink specials, and food specials — as always!

Crew member DJ Paradime is travelling down to Jacksonville, FL to play at Suite for a special event. Proceeds from Fire & Ice will benefit Autism Awareness so come party for a good cause!

Crew members Flash and SK will be playing at the hip hop reality festival at WSSU this Friday April 12th. The festival is geared towards educating the public by showcasing various elements of hip-hop from b-boying to MCing and DJing. It’s free to the public so stop by on Friday and check it out!

Crew members Forge and Sk return to Charleston this week to play Charleston Fashion Week! They’ll be playing inside the style lounge tent at the fashion show as well as official after parties. You can find Forge playing on Thursday in the style lounge and then afterwards at Macintosh / Cocktail Club and then SK on Friday in the style lounge then afterwards at Repulic Reign. Big thanks to Red Bull Southeast for making it all happen!

Intermission is a new weekly in the heart of downtown Raleigh at Noir Bar & Lounge with Forge and some of his friends! Intermission focuses on music that you don’t typically hear in the nightclubs of Raleigh. From 90s hip-hop and r&b, current underground hip-hop, soulful house, to funk and soul. Anything goes really, but quality is the name of the game.  Make sure to stop by and check it out if you live in the Raleigh area, it’s not often we get a night like this to appreciate music and drink on the cheap!
